A short post but the truest of genuine posts that could possibly be.

I don’t want to sound cocky or anything…but sometimes…I totally think I’m awesome. Even when I’m not.

I have this thing for liking my own blog posts. And Facebook statuses. And tweets. And anything else that I could possibly like that belongs to me.

It’s not even a stats game.

Because I stopped obsessing over the stats.

I’ve got a friend who likes every comment she makes or posts on Facebook. And I admire that in a person. I mean, if you say it, you should like it right?

And I recently realized that no matter how much shit does not go the way you want it to or expect it to…

If you love your life, you should live your life and not worry about the things that haven’t happened yet or the things that you can’t change.

So I decided that I’m going to love my life. And my blog posts.

What can I say?

I’m a sucker for liking myself.

I like my own posts

What about you, Blog Friends? Do you like your own posts? Tweets? Do you think it’s ridiculous that I like mine…publicly?

  1. You should do whatever is going to put a smile on your little face. And if publicly declaring that you know that you’re awesome make you happy, then do it to it.

  2. hahahha!! You’re so cute and honest! I don’t ‘like’ my posts or status updates because it’s obvious I like them; otherwise I wouldn’t post them! But, that’s for me! If you want to ‘like’ your stuff, who’s stopping you?! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Honesty is both a flaw and a strength. I wear my heart (and my bravado) on my sleeve. Sometimes it gets me into trouble. But it’s true that if we didn’t like it, we wouldn’t publish.

  3. I like your posts a lot. They are clever and intelligent. One thing I must caution you of: Self is basically insubstantial, hence liking/loving yourself or not liking/loving yourself is a passing phenomena. He who has an inflated ego will surely deflate. That is neither good nor bad. It just is ๐Ÿ˜‰ Ask anybody who has followed the political scene.

    1. Thanks Wayne. I always appreciate your well-thought out responses. I’m pretty much waiting for my ego to deflate. And then I will cry. And then I will start re-inflating the ego to make myself feel better ๐Ÿ˜‰

      1. I can’t cry. I’ve watched too many Clint Eastwood and Chuck Norris movies. Maybe if they threw me in jail for something, I’d cry. On the second thought, that wouldn’t be a good idea ๐Ÿ˜‰ I have experienced the deflation of the ego though more than one. Especially in the cougar bars.
